Jack E. Hunter

Of Counsel

Mr. Jack Hunter is Board-Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and of counsel to the firm. He brings a unique perspective to our practice based on 20 years as a State District Judge. Judge Hunter also served as the chief felony prosecutor and acting District Attorney for Nueces, Kenedy, and Kleberg counties.

Judge Hunter earned his Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Houston and his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. He is a certified mediator and has served on the Texas Municipal Court Association Training Center as a court administrator and chief judge for the Corpus Christi Municipal Court. He is also past president of the Corpus Christi Bar Association.

Judge Hunter is a founder of Teen Court and Texans Against Gangs. He is a U.S. Army veteran and a published author with four books to his credit to date. He has also been published in the Texas Bar Journal and has been featured in Texas Monthly as well as NBC’s Hard Copy and CBS’ 48 Hours. Judge Hunter is proud to have received the Cecil Burney Humanitarian Award and the Spirit of Benevolence for Public Service Award.
